1. Students will be able to identify the specific parts of the organs within the digestive system.
2. Students will observe the movement of food through the digestive tract.
3. Students will practice taking quizzes in order to learn the structures and functions within the digestive system.
4. Students will discover the reasons for the bizarre and gross sounds that occur in the digestive system.



Your Task:

1. Open to locate overview of digestive system organs.

a. What are the 3 parts of the small intestine?
b. Where do the bile duct and pancreas empty?
c. Write down the definitions for Machanical and Chemical Breakdown.


2. Click on the animation to observe the movement of food from mouth toward stomach. Read text on the mouth, then close to view animation.

a. List the parts of the digestive system the pizza passes to in order to move to the stomach. (Be specific...including areas inside mouth, around teeth, and pharynx).



3. Practice quizzes from the following sites:
